I look forward to the possibility of getting to know you and would also like to tell you a little about myself. My private practice is devoted to working with families and couples to help them deal with difficulties in their relationships and in their personal lives.    I have specialized training in couples counseling. My approach is directive and I play a role much like a relationship coach. I understand that when you come into counseling you do not want to waste time. We focus right away on the problem areas and how to intervene. Counseling should clarify your thinking, helping you understand the context of the situation and your role in it. You may begin by pointing a finger at your partner, however eventually you also need to accept what your part is in the relationship problem.  Helping couples with problems with infidelity - both sexual and emotional- is my specialty. Emotional affairs involving technology such as texting and instant messaging are more commonplace these days. We will assess the strengths and weaknesses of your relationship and develop a plan to rebuild an even better life together.
